MissAdventures Theatre Company runs a variety of special drama workshops & sessions
designed for Home Educated young people in Norfolk. These sessions are relaxed, friendly and fun with the emphasis on learning new skills and making new friends.
Our weekly Home Ed Drama Workshops run on a Thursday and are currently limited to 1 group with max 15 participants. All Covid restrictions apply.
When: Thursdays during term-time
Time: 11am - 12:30pm
Cost: £6.50 pp p/session
Where: Westacre Theatre, Westacre, KL
Ages: 6 - 16 years
Classes are currently running every two weeks due to Covid restrictions. Weekly classes resuming as soon as we are able.
These workshops are designed to allow the participants the chance to experiment and explore the world of drama in a relaxed and friendly setting. We do a mixture of both stand-alone sessions featuring different acting games, exercises and activities & rehearsals towards productions.
Previous Home Ed Drama productions have included Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe, Bugsy Malone, The Wizard of Oz, Paddington and Treasure Island - together with many original pieces created by the young people.
We experiment with all things theatrical including creating stories, scenes, characters and plays using weird and wonderful costumes, hats and props.
No pressure to perform - just come along and have fun!
These sessions are great for building confidence, self-esteem and improving imagination whilst boosting creative & critical thinking skills, developing group & solo work and...having a dramatically good time!
